About SewQueer

Founded in 2017 by queer and genderqueer sewist Shannon (@rare.device), SewQueer began with a blog post, then an Instagram community, and now has a home here as well.

SewQueer welcomes anyone who identifies under the broad queer and trans umbrellas, has an interest in sewing and stitching, and believes in the importance of making for building identity, community, and resilience.
